Multi-Site Network Transformation
A fully unified network connecting five school sites, enabling seamless access, resilient infrastructure and flexible working. By consolidating systems into a single, secure environment, Kingsmead School improved collaboration, reduced complexity and ensured reliable access to critical resources across all locations.
Operating across multiple locations, the school faced increasing complexity in managing separate networks, storage systems and user access. Staff needed to move seamlessly between sites while maintaining reliable access to files, systems and teaching resources.
At the same time, the existing infrastructure lacked resilience, meaning any outage risked disruption to learning and operations. The school required a joined-up solution that would simplify management, improve reliability and support flexible working—without exceeding budget.
Our Solution
L.E.A.D. IT Services designed and delivered a fully unified wide area network (WAN), connecting all five sites into a single, cohesive environment. Working closely with the school’s ISP, we reconfigured and consolidated existing domains into one shared network – enabling secure, consistent access across every location.
Infrastructure was streamlined through the creation of a centralised data centre, supported by a secondary backup server room to ensure full resilience. This approach reduced complexity while safeguarding continuity in the event of failure.
Alongside this, new end-user devices were deployed to provide staff with reliable, high-performing technology – supporting consistent access whether working on-site or remotely.
