For our Managing Director, Lee Jepson, that belief is deeply personal. Having started his own career at just 16, Lee understands the importance of opportunity – and the impact it can have on a young person’s future.
Employing and training apprentices is at the heart of what we try to do here at L.E.A.D. IT Services. We are passionate about education and helping young people into employment.
This philosophy continues to shape everything we do. Each apprentice we welcome into the business is not just gaining experience – they are becoming part of a team that is invested in their future.
Learning by Doing
We know that the best way to learn is by doing.
Our apprentices are immersed in real-world environments from day one – working alongside experienced engineers, supporting customers and developing practical skills that simply can’t be learned in a classroom alone.
Henry Riggott, who has recently completed his Level 3 Information and Communication Technician apprenticeship, explains it best:

Kayleigh Potter, who is undertaking a Business Administration apprenticeship, highlights the importance of that environment:

Real careers, not just first jobs
An apprenticeship at L.E.A.D. IT Services is just the beginning. We are proud that so many of our apprentices go on to secure full-time roles within the business, building long-term careers and progressing into increasingly senior positions.
Today, more than ten members of our team started their journey as apprentices.
One of those is Emma Wallis.
Emma joined us at 19 as an apprentice Infrastructure Technician. Eight years later, she is now a Second Line Helpdesk Technician – having built her skills, confidence, and career with us.
It was a great opportunity to learn more, and I’ve been able to progress since then. I really enjoy working here, and the opportunity to take on more responsibility has been great.
Her story is just one example of what’s possible when talent is nurtured and opportunity is given.
